Plant City, Florida
Plant City does not get its name from the surrounding agricultural industry, which has greatly added to the City's growth, but from Henry Bradley Plant, a railroad tycoon. In 1884, Henry B. Plant extended the South Florida Railroad into the town and one year later, when the town was incorporated, it was renamed in his honor. http://plantcitygov.com

Known as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World, because over three-quarters of the nation's midwinter strawberries come from Plant City, it is also the home of the Florida Strawberry Festival http://www.flstrawberryfestival.com.
